Accessible Minivans for Sale for Paratransit Use

Paratransit refers to any system that offers transportation options outside of fixed-schedule routes. For cities, agencies, organizations and businesses that offer paratransit services, having wheelchair-accessible minivans may be a necessity.

Rear-entry accessible minivans are more durable, which can be a good choice for commercial and paratransit use. They also don't require special parking. This type of layout can accommodate two wheelchairs, a requirement in some cities.

Other cities, however, require that their commercial and paratransit minvans use a side entry. This allows the wheelchair passenger to use the front passenger seat or the middle section. It is also a good choice for vehicles that transport luggage. The baggage can be stored in the back, behind the last row of seats, and does not have to be removed to unload the wheelchair passenger.
