Rear Entry Lowered Floor Wheelchair Accessible Minivans Features |
|
A rear-entry minivan is limited to transporting up to two mobility devices within it, and a curb cut may need to be used so that a wheelchair user can access the minivan. Consequently, street parking can be more difficult with this vehicle. Passengers in wheelchairs in a rear-entry vehicle must back out on exit from the minivan. Wheelchair users who wish to drive can only do so if they can transfer to the drivers’ seats in these minivans, as these vehicles do not allow wheelchairs into the front seating area. A rear-entry minivan also has smaller luggage space than a side-entry minivan. |
